Pastor Terrell

UCity | The Church was founded in Spring 2021, fresh out of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions simply following the call of God. Terrell and Kemi with their son Roman and now daughter Rory, the Huntleys launched under the leadership of the Lake Forest Family of Churches, establishing their spot in the University City area of Charlotte, NC.

While attending UNC Charlotte for college, Terrell embraced his unique life with a speech impediment. It has allowed him to view life differently and speak from that, hence the opportunity to present a TED Talk about how “Vulnerability Saves”. He carries this core value at the heart of UCity | The Church, encouraging others and pushing himself to show up as their unpolished and unprocessed selves. Kemi Huntley is a licensed mental health therapist with her own private practice.

Terrell is a Certified Life Coach and has assisted the launches of multiple non-profit organizations. Terrell and Kemi are passionate about changing hearts and mindsets. Terrell passionately uses himself by being vulnerable as an instrument to bring hope to all people. He accepts the challenge to push people past themselves, allowing others to see their potential and capabilities with God, beyond what they originally imagined to be possible on their own.
