Serve Days at the Opp House
Sept 26th Thursday 5:30-9:00PM
The Opportunity House is a homeless day shelter in Concord and UCity is excited to provide dinner and a worship service for their guests! The gathering will be at the Opp House from 6-9, but we ask UCity Volunteers to arrive at 5. You can sign up to bring food and/or come serve at the event, either way we are so happy to have you and know that God is going to do some amazing things in us and through us!

UCity Shorties - Grow Confident Led by Pastor Terrell
An 8 week group where we will study the Bible to learn to be confident in who God has made us. That when we bring our unprocessed and unpolished selves in real time is enough! We will read the Bible and talk about real life ways to put vulnerability into practice, not only in our personal lives, but in our families and professional spaces as well. The group content will be based on Scripture and Pastor Terrell’s TED talk Vulnerability Saves.
This group will meet for 8 weeks on Monday evenings 7-9pm at Lake Forest Church Huntersville.

Ucity Shorties - Fear to Faith Led By Pastor Maria
An 8 week group where we will learn to live out of faith instead of out of fear. Fear controls and dictates so much of our lives and in this short term group we are going to learn from the Bible and with practical tools how to live out of faith instead of fear. Pastor Maria will use Scripture, real life examples, as well as practical tools to help conquer fear in our lives once and for all. The group content will be based out of Maria's book Breaking the Fear Cycle.
This group will meet for 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm at Lake Forest Church Huntersville.

Oct 6th is Roots Sunday! Join A Team!
Sunday Oct 6th join us for Roots Sunday! We set up tables school fair style and you have the opportunity to stop in, learn more about the team, grab a treat, and sign up! Teams are a a great way to get connected at UCity, we have a blast serving together.

Group Leader Training
If you are a current UCity Group leader OR are interested in becoming one, this training is for you! We will be sharing our vision and goals for the upcoming year, as well as sharing valuable resources relating to how to stay healthy and effective as a UCity Group Leader.
This training session will be led by Maria Furlough and Tiffany Godwin. We are excited about what God is doing in groups and want to grow even more at empowering you as leaders.
We will even be talking about how to build your group, so even if you are a little bit interested come on out! Lunch will be provided so what is better than that?!
